For Machine Quilting
To choose the proper batting size add 6” to 8” to both length and width of your quilt top measurements, this will give you the correct batting size. You may need to go to the next size larger, if you are going to have your quilt top machine quilted. When in doubt, contact your quilter and ask what they will need.

Ripples In Border
If your quilt top has ripples in the borders, it may create pleats during the quilting process. I can get rid of some of them, but maybe not all of them. It is best to make sure there are no ripples in the borders. To correct this problem, you may need to remove the border, re-measure the quilt, make the correction and put on a new border.
